Daily Advice & Information for Trekkers

  • Skardu β†’ Askole Wake up: 4:00–4:30 AM | Breakfast: 4:30–5:00 AM β†’ Departure: 5:00 AM. Drive carefully on the mountain road and carry your passport and personal essentials.
  • Askole Onward (All Trekking Days) Wake up: 5:00 AM | Breakfast: 5:30 AM | Start trekking: 6:00 AM. Walk at a comfortable pace, stay hydrated, and take short breaks.
  • Paiju Camp the Last campsite with trees. Usually used as a rest day for acclimatization and porter arrangements. On the Baltoro Glacier Walk carefully on loose rocks and glacier moraine. Always follow your guide and stay with the group. This is the first day of starting of baltoro glacier.

  • K2 Base Camp Visit Gilkey Memorial 5,250 m 1–1.5 hrs. Walk slowly because of the high altitude. Drink plenty of water and avoid unnecessary exertion.
